What we collect, why we collect it, and the control you keep over it.

The short version
We collect only what we need to take your order, fit your frames and keep in touch when you ask us to. We never sell your data. This page explains what we hold, why, and the control you have over it. VANTA Optics is the data controller.
What we collect
- Order details — name, shipping and billing address, email, phone and the items you buy.
- Prescription data, where you choose to share it, solely to glaze your lenses.
- Payment data is handled by our payment processor; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Usage data — basic, privacy-respecting analytics about how the site is used.
How we use it
To process and deliver orders, provide aftercare and warranty service, answer your messages, prevent fraud, and — only with your consent — send the occasional dispatch about new frames. Our lawful bases are contract, legitimate interest and consent, depending on the activity.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to stop sending you marketing. Under UK and EU law you may also object to or restrict certain processing.
Exercise any of these by writing to privacy@vanta.optics. We respond within 30 days.
Retention & security
We keep order records for as long as tax and warranty obligations require, then delete or anonymise them. Data is held on access-controlled, encrypted infrastructure. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable, current measures to protect what you entrust to us.
Contact
Questions about your data? Write to privacy@vanta.optics or use the contact page. This is a portfolio demonstration store, so the policy is illustrative rather than a live legal agreement.
